1. How did you like our Scholarship training program overall?

I really enjoyed the training. The atmosphere was relaxed, friendly, and supportive, and I was able to learn a lot. Even though it was sometimes challenging, I always felt motivated and well-supported.

2. Was the content of the training relevant and up to date for your professional development?

Yes. Since I started as a career switcher, much of it was new to me, but I was still able to learn so much in a relatively short time. I will definitely be able to use these new skills and knowledge well in the future.

3. What prior knowledge did you have in programming?

I had taken two semesters of applied computer science during my master’s degree, which gave me a basic understanding of Java before the training. I refreshed this knowledge before starting the program. During the training, I was able to deepen and expand my Java skills and also learned a new programming language, C#.

4. Was the training program well-structured and organized?

Yes, the modules were logically arranged and built on each other in a meaningful way. Additionally, there were clear timelines for completing each module. However, if you needed an extra day or two for a module, it wasn’t a problem as long as you communicated it.

5. How were you supported during the training? Was there enough assistance with questions and problems?

I had a dedicated mentor whom I could always contact if I had questions. If the questions were more specific, a call was arranged.

6. How was the job application process after the training?

Super relaxed. Since I came directly from my master’s program, this was my first experience with an application process and even my first interview with andagon. After I applied, I didn’t have to wait long for a response to schedule a first phone interview, where I could choose the date and time myself. The conversation lasted about 15 minutes and was a casual introductory chat, where I already felt very comfortable. In the next step, I was asked to make a one-minute video explaining why I wanted to enter IT quality assurance. Admittedly, it was a bit weird to see myself on video, but it was totally doable. Shortly after that, I had a job interview with a person from HR and a person from the specialist department. I had always thought interviews were terrible, but I was pleasantly surprised— the atmosphere was very relaxed, casual, and friendly.

7. Did you feel well-supported in the various modules?

Yes, almost all the modules included tutorial videos, example tasks, or PowerPoint presentations that helped me get into the topic. What I learned could then be directly applied to the subsequent project.

8. What was your favorite part of the scholarship program?

My favorite part was the hands-on work on real projects. These experiences were extremely valuable and showed me how to apply the theoretical knowledge in practice. I also found the feedback sessions with my mentor after each module to be super helpful!

9. Would you recommend the scholarship?

For sure. It offers a great opportunity to further your education and learn new skills that are very helpful for career development.
