Bundeswehr: Document-Management for Research Projects of the German Federal Army

The research division of the German Federal Army- called ZASBW (center for analysis and studies of the Federal Army) - not only has the mission to carry out studies for the Bundeswehr and develop new process methods but also has to implement these methods within the Army structures as fast as possible. In this context, the ZASBW considers it as strategic important to administrate new know-how and to offer it fast and purposeful for an implementation.

Andagon has developed and implemented a document management system for ZASBW as well as a Knowledge-Base-Frontend. This system allows an efficient integration and administration of documents. The offered knowledge is accessible to the different users in the Bundeswehr.

Since the implementation of this system the ZASBW has greatly advanced the relationship between research and application in view of optimized application-orientation. The Management and correlation of individual tasks within research projects have become more transparent which in turn enables better planning, execution and reporting in support of budget and controlling mechanisms.
